I don’t care if Kristen Stewart cheated on her boyfriend.
She puts out good movies. Which is her job as an actress. She’s not your best friend at a slumber party, or your sister or your mentor or your parent. You don’t get to feel betrayed because she cheated on her boyfriend. Her job is to make movies for you - not to fucking coddle you and pretend she’s a morally perfect 22-year-old woman.
I’m 22. If I had a boyfriend and I cheated on him, should I expect my regulars to stop shopping at OfficeMax because they feel betrayed? What’s that you say? “No, because you’re just a normal person, Eiri”? There. Exactly there. Holding people with celebrity status up to a higher standard of humanity and forgetting that they are entitled to their screw-ups just like everybody else. Especially when they’re 22 years old. Jesus christ.

Kristen Stewart has been my favourite actress since almost the very beginning of her career and it’s always pissed me off that she catches so much flack because she got herself roped into one bad franchise. I mean, granted, yes, it is a really really really really really really REALLY bad franchise, but fuck, she didn’t write the books. And you can only do so much with a character; Bella’s two-dimensional because BELLA is two-dimensional. She was written that way. Kristen herself is fantastic.
My point being: The first list should have contained more of her films. Like Speak. And Zathura. And In the Land of Women. And Fierce People. Ooh ooh, and The Cake Eaters! And…erm, basically everything she’s ever been in besides the Twilight films.
